Vegans eat more than just salad, you know? Join us for an all-day immersion into plant based cooking for every meal, from easy breakfast to indulgent dessert, and see that vegan cuisine can be easy, accessible, and oh so flavorful!
Seitan Gyros with Vegan Tzatziki; Pasta Primavera with Garlic-Cream Sauce; Scrambled Tofu Tacos with Black Beans and Salsa Verde; Lentil and Farro Soup with Kale; Mini Lemon Meringue Pies with Homemade Pie Dough and Swiss "Meringue".
Skills Covered in Class Include: Getting Familiar with Meat, Dairy and Egg Substitutes; Making Nut-Based Cream Sauces; Selecting and Roasting Vegetables; Working with Fresh Herbs and Dark Leafy Greens; Working with Grains and Legumes; Making and Rolling out Pie Dough; Making Custard; How to Brûlée.
Due to the layout of our kitchens and in consideration of your classmates, students will work in groups of 3 to 4 people. All participants in class must be at least 18 years old.
