Vegans love desserts just as much as everyone else! With a little know how and an arsenal of dairy and egg substitutes (including one you may have never heard of but probably already have in your kitchen), you can indulge in easy, yet decadent vegan holiday treats this season.
Gingerbread Apple Cake with Swiss Meringue Brûlée; Chocolate-Candy Cane Whoopie Pies; Mini Sweet Potato Tartlets with Pecans; Salty and Spicy Mixed Nut Brittle.
Skills Covered in Class Include: Getting Familiar with Dairy and Egg Substitutes; Understanding Baking Ingredient Functions; Mixing Batters; Working with Tofu and Spices; Making Pie Dough; Caramelizing; Brûléeing.
Due to the layout of our kitchens and in consideration of your classmates, students will work in groups of 3 to 5 people. Parties of 6 or more will be directed to our private events department so we can accommodate them appropriately.
