Aahh... Learn about the cuisine of Brazil, and be transported to the beaches of Rio!
Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pão De Queijo); Hearts of Palm, Crab and Avocado Salad with Cilantro Vinaigrette; Feijoada (Brazil's National Dish: Pork, Beef and Black Bean Stew); Brazilian Rice; Lime Cupcakes with Dulce de Leche Frosting.
Skills Covered in Class Include: Getting Familiar with South American Ingredients; Working with Tapioca Flour; Selecting Crab; Cutting Avocado; Preparing Vinaigrette; Balancing Flavors; Selecting and Braising Pork and Beef; Steaming Rice; Mix and Baking Cake Batter; Determining Cake Doneness; Preparing Frosting.
Due to the layout of our kitchens and in consideration of your classmates, students will work in groups of 3 to 5 people. Parties of 6 or more will be directed to our private events department so we can accommodate them appropriately.
